One For The Money Book Review!

So I finished a new book recently. Actually I finished two but was alittle too lazy to write this review right after I read the book. I finished One For The Money by Janet Evanovich. This was recently made into a movie and was just released out on DVD. I really enjoyed this book and I look forward to reading more Stephanie Plum books in the series. My mom has read all of these books in the series and there are seventeen of them.
I have seen the trailer many times and I always laugh each time because the movie looks really funny. Once I see the movie, I will also review it and compare it to the book.
The book was funny and it did make me laugh. The grandmother was hilarious, and I could also imagine a concerned mother which also made me laugh. I loved the character Stephanie Plum. I thought she was a very strong and determined person. She knew she was going to get Morelli and she was not scared of him. She was however scared of Ramirez, but I also would be.
I cannot wait to see the movie to write a movie review for you guys! So sorry this is so short, it seems forever since I finished the book and I feel like I do not know what else to say about the book.

Jewelry, elephants, and braids!

Ok, the first picture.

A jewelry case.

AMAZING!

I am in desperate need of a really good jewelry case and have been forever. At home, they sit on top of my dresser. At school, they all sit in a Victoria Secret box that I got with a perfume purchase. This one in general is so organized, so chic and so perfect. I would just love to have one that keeps everything in order and I can find things easier, especially in the mornings when I am trying to find a certain piece of jewelry to match my outfit with. This case also hold scarves and sunglasses so it basically kills two birds with one stone. I also don't have as much jewelry as the picture does but it will get me motivated to buy more. :)
Actual animals as rings. Well, not actual animals but they basically make up the whole ring. I love how this ring looks antique and it's an adorable elephant. Super cute!
I love this hairstyle. It would take me awhile to do it, unless I had someone to do it for me. Hair stylist please? :) It has just the right amount of bounce and curl to it. My hair isn't short enough to have that much bounce and curl but I could still try it. That' the best thing. It looks really easy to accomplish.

More from Pinterest!

So I am sitting here, back at school in my dorm. My roommate and I are watching Angels and Demons (great movie!) I have three more pictures from Pinterest.com that I found a while ago. I decided to right some blog posts while watching this movie.

The first picture I thought was really cute for a house in the country. The stars give it that perfect touch of Country chic and the rope is attached to something that I have no idea what they are called. But I think people use them with horses or something else while living on a farm hehehe. I like how it gives it an older feel with the older looking wood and the white paint but at the same time it has a modern look. If I lived in the country at any time, I would love to have my stairs look like this.

I love this next picture. I would love to have this in a room as my reading corner. I would fill the shelves on the side with all my books (I have a lot of them, I have a problem eek! haha) I love the colors pink, blue and white. It looks really comfty and the headboard is so sheek. The quote on the wall is from Audrey Hepburm (love her!) which says, "Nothing is impossible. The word itself says 'I'm possible'. This is sooo true and I never thought about it until I read that quote. I also love the chandeleor and the small lights on the side. My future house will definitely have my own reading corner.

Ok, this last picture. Does it really need words to describe?? A Lush bath in this thing would be amazing. But you would probably need about three or more bubble bars to fill it with bubble bars. Five Sunnyside bubble bars please! Enough said. :)

Glee! Rocky Horror Glee Show

So for Christmas this year, one out of the three things that I wanted for Christmas. I got Season 2 of Glee on DVD. Glee is my second favorite show. I love to watch what songs they sing love to be part of the group that hates Sue, and the drama and men are so yummy. It's already on the third season and it has been okay. I think it will get better. The last episode for sections was sooooo good! Best episode of the season so far. So I decided to write reviews of each episode to give me some blog posts. I watch them on my computer and then I will write a review of them. And rate the episode and each song. And then my favorite song of each episode. While I watch these episodes with my headphones in, my sister and her best friend are watching Vampire Diaries Season 2 on the TV so I will hear the conversation on that TV every so often.
The Rocky Horror Glee Show isn't the first episode of the season, it is the 5th but I will write reviews for the other ones before this one. I remember first seeing the commercial for this episode. I had never heard if Rocky Horror Picture Show before Glee. I looked it up and saw what was part of this 70s musical. They throw food at you, it can be very inappropriate, and there's a transvestite.
Now, after Glee I have seen parts of The Rocky Horror Picture Show and it is in a weird way really good. I will eventually see the whole thing all the way through. But after this Glee episode it probably is one of my favorite episodes in all of Glee.
The episode begins with a pair of red lips and a black screen and Santana singing Science Fiction/Double Feature. It is a cool way I thought of beginning the episode because it makes you think if you are watching the right thing. I give this song 5 out of 10 lips (perfect for the episode) because its one of those slower songs and it is only beginning the show. But her voice is still really good. The episode continues with Will wanting to do Rocky Horror Picture Show as the musical because he wants to impress Emma Pillsbury even though she is dating Carl(John Stamos) and Will is still in love with Emma. Everyone is cast in the musical and Will cuts out the bad parts of the musical to make it more appropriate. Finn is Brad in the musical and has to sing in his whitey tightys. He realizes he is uncomfortable with his body. But Finn shouldn't be because Cory Monteith is gorgeous! He is so cute and I am happy to know that we get to see him shirtless.
Sue Sylvester has her Sue's Corner. This "corner" makes me want to smack her even more. I hate Sue along with many other Glee fans. But I do love Jane Lynch. She is pretty cool.
Rachel and Finn sing Dammit Janet. I like this song but I don't think I could listen to it as much as the other songs. Rachel sings and doesn't actually look like she is about to cry because she always makes those weird faces when she sings. Though, I still love her voice. Mercedes Kurt and Quinn do a great job at looking...dead? Not sure how to describe how they are supposed to act but they still do a good job at fitting in the weird feel of Rocky Horror. I give this song 7 out of 10 lips.
John Stamos then performs What Happened to Saturday Night? He does a good job at this song and being in Full House will eventually get out of my head watching him in Glee enough times. I give this song 5 out of 10 lips. It's not my favorite but it still is good.
Mercedes decides that she can be Frank-N-Furter and sings Sweet Transvestite. Her voice is so strong, she looks great in the video, and it was a great song. It was just an overall great performance. This song deserves 9 out of 10 lips.
Will then takes Sam out of being Rocky Horror and decides that he has to be the part. So we have seen Sam also shirtless and it is so good. Um 10 out 10 lips for his body!
When Emma and Will talk, Emma sings Touch A Touch A Touch A Touch Me. Ok, to state this clearly this is my second favorite song in all of Glee. I LOVE this song. I don't know why it is so good. It's such a fun song to sing to sing to and I love the "Creature of the Night" sung by everyone at the end. I heard this was Jayma Mays audition song for Glee. She does this song so well and I am so glad they included it in the musical. The weird thing is she is singing Janet's part to Rocky Horror, which is Rachel's part she plays. I do not think that Lea Michele could sing this song as well as Jayma sings it. And plus she rips off Will's shirt. I think he deserves a one hundred and ten percent for that body! Also, the song gets a 10 out of 10 lips.
Finn decides to walk around school in his costume which means topless. It was also beautiful. I think this episode is so good because it had three men topless.
Will cancels the show because he realizes it would be too risky but he still wants the glee club to perform the song for themselves. So they perform their last song, Time Warp. This song is so great because it seems everyone has a fun part to sing in it. The dancing is great, the costumes looked so amazing, and the overall performance was such fun.
So my favorite song of this episode was definitely Touch A Touch A Touch A Touch Me. I really enjoyed this episode and will be watching it again and again and again.

Juliet Immortal Book Review!

So I recently finished the book Juliet Immortal by Stacey Jay. It was a lot better than I expected. I found this book on goodreads.com. This book had just been published so I got my hands on it pretty quickly, especially being from the library. It was a random decision because I loved the cover and the title. I love Romeo and Juliet so when I saw something that seemed to relate to Romeo and Juliet, I wanted to give it a try. The cover is ravishing, it is so pretty. I started this book over Thanksgiving break for something to read. I really tried to put it down but I couldn't. It was pulling me in.
This was a book about Juliet Capulet who was bouncing from soul to soul to protect soul mates. She didn't want Romeo, he also was bouncing from soul to soul, to get to the soul mates. Romeo was on the Mercenaries, which are the people who are trying to keep the soul mates apart and the Ambassadors were trying to stop the Mercenaries from killing people. Juliet wasn't an Ambassador but she was helping them and was working her way up to become one. But she wasn't reaching them because she was facing something dark.

**Time for Spoiler Alert**

This book was a lot more violent then I expected. A lady was kidnapped and then murdered. There are specters that haunt Romeo and Juliet and are usually always bloody.

Here, Juliet goes into the body of Ariel Dragland. Her memories are open to Juliet so she knows what is happening. But the thoughts and actions are from Juliet. Juliet meets Ben. She falls for him hard. Immediately. It made me realize that love can always have a second chance. Because I was always in love with Romeo and Juliet. That whole love at first sight makes my heart melt. But then with Ben, it made me realize that Ben was so much better for Juliet then Romeo was for her.

Juliet faces a whole battle throughout the book with many things. Some are against Romeo, some against what will happen to her soul, and others are against herself. She has to realize that she has to love herself. She is shown what really happened that night she died. She kept telling herself that Romeo killed her but she never wanted to admit that it was herself.
The romance in this novel was really good. But I liked how it had a mix of everything. There was romance, adventure, suspense, gore, and violence.
I definitely recommend this book to anyone that wants a good read. It did make you think a bit. But that's something I liked about it. I could definitely see this as a movie. If this would be a movie, I would be first in line to see it.

The things I didn't like about it: (**Still Spoilers**)

There was always talks about the original story of Romeo and Juliet. I was a little disappointed that there was never talk about Romeo's best friend Mercutio. I always thought he was an awesome guy. About three chapters take place in Romeo's voice and he never even mentioned him either.

Also, at the end, Juliet finally wakes up back to when she was put to sleep before she dies. She bangs on the coffin and someone opens it up. It is Ben. So, they immediately fall in love in another life. Romeo has run off and she doesn't care. She still remembers Ben and he starts to remember too. He tells her he is Benvolio, Romeo's cousin. I liked how they would be together but I wasn't the biggest fan of the fact that in another life, Ben was Benvolio. But I had to accept it. But I did like how it was in another life kind of love. That was sweet.

**End of Spoilers**

So overall, this book was amazing. I would love it to be a movie. So that way, people would know about it and I could tell them to read the book because it was so good.

On some side notes, I went to Sephora the other day and picked up two things. So mini haul!

I got the mini Bad Gal Lash from Benefit. I heard great reviews from this mascara and my mascara at my dorm is not the best. This one is really good and I am loving it! It's even better because it is mini and I always have better luck with mini mascaras than normal sized ones.

I also got Sephora's face powder. I am running low on my favorite Physician's Formula face powder but I wanted to try something different. This isn't the best picture but the best one I could find. Mine has Sephora's symbol in the middle of it.

This is my mini haul and book review! I plan on reading way more books over my Christmas break because it is the end of my first semester! I have a huge list and plan to break through a good amount of those books. I think the next book will be The Secret Life of Bees. I also will be working a lot to get me some money to buy more books and makeup. :)

My first book blog: Invitation Only by Kate Brian!

So I finished this book last night after starting it a very long time ago. I started it when I first moved into my dorm back in August. Now it's November! Eek! Okay, now is where I make the lame excuse of how I have been so busy that I haven't been able to read. Someone kill me now! I'm sorry I haven't read as much as I would like too.
This book is the 2nd book in the Private series. What is even worse is how long ago I took to continue this series. I read the first one back in July 2008! So when I started it again, things were a little fuzzy but when I got back into the book I remember them.
Here is the summary on the back of the book:
Reed Brennan's future is looking as bright as the two-karat diamonds in her new housemates' ears. Being accepted to the most prestigious private boarding school in the country wasn't enough for Reed. She had to break every rule to do it, but she has accomplished the impossible:Reed is a Billings Girl now. And with her new status come respect, envy, and, most important, opportunity. Not to mention the parties. Unfortunately, at the next illicit party in the Easton campus woods, her roommate snaps some pictures of Reed in more than one compromising position. She uses the photos to blackmail Reed: Dig up dirt on the most powerful and popular Billings Girls or she will have Reed expelled. And speaking of parties, the Legacy is coming up. It's the invitation-only Halloween party in NYC and it's rumored that Thomas -- Reed's MIA boyfriend -- will be making an appearance there. Too bad Reed isn't even close to invited.Life as a Billings Girl is every bit as glamorous as Reed imagined. What she didn't bargain for is the tangled web of private lies these girls weave.

Okay now for the ***SPOILER ALERT!!***

This book was pretty decent. I had no idea that the Billings Girls were going to do that to Reed. What they did, that is the part I will not spoil. :)
But in other terms, the guy she goes out to with to try to get a ticket to the Legacy, Walt Whittaker. They all called him Whit. I felt so bad for him because he really liked Reed but she didn't like him back. Though, I think Constance and Whit would be the perfect couple. <3
Let me just say OMG to the Legacy. I would love to go to a party like this. It basically is a masquerade with beautiful gowns and every guest receives a designer something that is white. I would love it! Going to a Masquerade is on my list of things to do, but I don't think I could make it to one this expensive. hehe
The ending was great and the last line of the book were perfect. Just before she is thinking she might be having some feelings for Josh, and she tells him that she can be happy without Thomas and she's better off without him. But then, they find Thomas' body. He is dead!! (I was kind of expecting that haha) But the last line says if she opens her mouth, she would scream and never be able to stop. It was great. I would probably do the same. She loved Thomas. Even though he made a girl think about how his feelings were, he was still good to her. Even though I love Thomas, I think I might be on team Josh. He seems better for Reed.
Earlier, she finds this note that Thomas gave her. I'm pretty sure I shed a tear at that part though I'm not sure since it has been so long since I read the beginning.
***END OF SPOILER***
Overall, the book was pretty good and is most defiantly making me want to read the rest of the books. They are on my list!
P.S. I ordered a book called Juliet Immortal by Stacey Jay from my library to read over Thanksgiving break. The book looks good and the cover is even better. There will be a review on that one coming.

Pinterest!

Ok, as you guys know. I am obsessed with the website Pinterest. So, I've decided to share three pictures with each blog post. I figured I am going to sit here and try to get as many blog posts as I can out there. This first picture is so simple, it can be replicated. But it is so cute that I just had to show you guys. It has the simple nightstand, bed spread and a nice basket for some storage underneath. I think the flowers and the pictures of the flowers give it perfect touch. I am defiantly feeling this as a guest bed. I would love to stay at a friend's house and sleep in this room.

This next picture is something I would love to have in my house. For one, I love typewriters. Something I think is so old-fashioned but at the same time, it never goes out of style. I would love to write a book by just using a typewriter. Also, the fact that the typewriter is this really cute turquoise color. And the wallpaper is so chic. I have noticed that bird patterned stuff is becoming very popular. It's really in, whether it be in clothes, jewelry, or home decor.
This next picture is something anyone can do with a corner of their porch that they are not sure what to do with it. It can be made into a little swing. Sadly, there is no back to the swing but that doesn't make it enjoyable. I know if I or a friend had this problem with a corner, I would show them this picture and they can become inspired by it. A lovely scene in a book or simply your actual experience would be nice on this swing.
Along with things I am really into, I am currently obsessed with listening to old Disney music from those great movies. My personal favorite is "I Won't Say I'm in Love" from Hercules. I love this song and it is a great song to sing with girlfriends. So I made a playlist on YouTube where I listen to a bunch of music from Disney movies. I also made another playlist called I just want to be a kid again, where it has some great old music from A*teens, JoJo, Hilary Duff, and Jesse McCartney. And the classic Miracles Happen by Myra song from Princess Diaries.
That's all for now. Hope everyone enjoys the pictures.
