Fall Break, Allergies, and Cabins

Right now, has officially started my fall break! Well, it started at 4:30 when my class ended but now I am sitting here deciding that I wanted to update my blog. I have no classes on Monday and Tuesday. This is a relief because my busy day is on Monday, so now I can have a relaxed Monday. I am loving fall so far, but with one downfall. The drastic changes of weather here. Last weekend, it decided to rain the weekend and not stop. This due because I was at my camp. We all agree that mother nature decides to make camp a little more fun and that it needs to rain on us sometime throughout the weekend. But for us, it rained the whole time. I was on staff this year, so it was a relief to be able to sleep inside. But it was still freezing cold in the room. Saturday night, after an awesome day of rain showers and cold temperatures, I wore two pairs of sweatpants to bed. That is how cold it was. I really felt bad for anyone that had to sleep in a tent, and that included my sister.

This weekend it decided to be good to us and be a nice weekend, with nice fall weather. I was happy with that since it is my fall break. But this week, because of all the shifting in weather, my allergies decided to hit me with full force. I was unable to take anything for them because I did not have my trusty Zyrtec at my dorm. This allergy medicine has helped me through thick and thin for many years. My roommate and I were both facing these sniffles and used a whole Kleenex box within one day. It was crazy, if I may say.

But the one thing I love about Fall is having the luxury of going to a Cabin and sleeping in one, while sipping hot apple cider, reading a book, and curling up with a blanket, while you get to watch the leaves change. That sounded so cliche but I really do wish that could happen this weekend. Going to one with a bunch of my friends, or one with my family and family friends. My family and family friends of ours used to go to a cabin every year. Granted that was in the winter, but it would still be nice to go to one at this time of year. The perfect weather where it is chilly in the air but the sun is still out. You can wear the perfect fall attire, with a cute sweater, your favorite pair of jeans, and some really fabulous fall boots you got on sale. A great outfit for a great day of playing in the leaves. If this time is early enough for raking up leaves. It probably is. Some people might go a little crazy without this, but going to a cabin that has no television or computer. No Internet connection and no way to watch that new episode of Vampire Diaries. That's if you go on a Thursday. If you don't, then you are okay. But being away from these things for a few days would be really nice. Peaceful with a good touch of quiet. But don't worry, the cabin will still have a bathroom with running water and toilet and shower, and the kitchen will still have a refrigerator and Microwave to heat up those delicious Instant Mac and Cheeses. But sitting next to a fire, either inside or outside, wearing a big comfy hoodie and pajama pants sounds so inviting right now. This isn't the best picture but the cabin still looks absolutely amazing for my Fall Break. And I think my dog, Romeo would love it too.

Even though this picture of the cabin on the left is probably not real, it just looks so fabulous. I would kill to stay in a place like this. With some fabulous big windows and a nice grand porch on the side of the house to sit at with a blanket wrapped around you.

So, the moral of the story is I really really want to stay in a cabin right now. Is anybody going and would like to pick me up and take me with them right about now, that would be great.
